Mitskevich: Belarus-Turkey relations are based on partnerships, shared world-view

On the way to Panama for the XXXVI General Assembly of the Latin American and Caribbean Parliament (Parlatino), Deputy Chairman of the House of Representatives of Belarus Valery Mitskevich visited the East Mediterranean International Tourism & Travel Exhibition EMITT in Istanbul by prior arrangement, BelTA learned from the press service of the House of Representatives.

“The deputy chairman of the House of Representatives examined the national stand of the Republic of Belarus. All visitors to the exhibition really liked the presentation of Grodno Oblast and its great tourist attractions. The deputy chairman of the House of Representatives noted that Belarus was happy to take part in the Istanbul expo again. He spoke highly of the tourism industry of the countries featured at the exhibition,” the press service informed.

On the sidelines of the expo, the vice-speaker met with Hacer Aydin, ITE Turkey Tourism & Travel & Fashion Group Director and EMITT Exhibition Director.

Valery Mitskevich welcomed good dynamics in bilateral cooperation and noted that Belarus and Turkey built friendly relations based on partnerships and a common stance on many global processes.

The vice-speaker reaffirmed commitment to cooperation with the expo administration and numerous Turkish tourism associations, which could result in cooperation agreements between the tourism associations of the two countries.

Valery Mitskevich believes that participation in various tourism events, such as EMITT, will increase the visibility of Belarus as a tourist destination. Indeed, Belarus has a lot to offer to international visitors. In addition to cultural and heritage tourism, Belarus is promoting health and vaccine tourism,” the press service added.
