Lukashenko sends Revolution Day greetings to Algeria

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent greetings to President of Algeria Abdelmadjid Tebboune as the country celebrates Revolution Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“This landmark day is a symbol of freedom, independence and the struggle of the Algerian people for the right to their own future,” the message of greetings reads.

Algeria and Belarus are countries with rich cultural traditions, strong economies, progressive science and technology, similar values, which is a solid basis for strengthening bilateral ties, the head of state said.

“Minsk is interested in building up fruitful cooperation with your country in such areas as food supplies, establishment of joint ventures for the production of agricultural machinery and vehicles,” the president emphasized. “The Belarusian-Algerian interaction can be boosted by the implementation of joint projects with access to the markets of other countries of the African continent.”

Aleksandr Lukashenko expressed hope that he would soon be able to meet with Abdelmadjid Tebboune to discuss further plans for bilateral relations. The Belarusian head of state wished the president of Algeria strong health, success and great achievements, as well as wellbeing and progress to the people of Algeria.
