Minister: Year of Quality events will contribute to the country's technological independence

The implementation of the initiative to declare 2024 the Year of Quality at the enterprises of the Industry Ministry will be an additional incentive to improve production processes and a worthy contribution to the technological independence of Belarus, Industry Minister Aleksandr Rogozhnik said as he commented on Decree No.375 “On Declaring 2024 the Year of Quality”.

“In the conditions of geopolitical challenges and sanctions pressure, it is crucial for the organizations of all sectors to widely support the initiative in order to improve efficiency, productivity and competitiveness of products and services. After all, it is obvious that quality improvement and application of best practices contributes to the development of the economy and society as a whole,” Aleksandr Rogozhnik said.

The industry minister expressed confidence that the implementation of the Year of Quality measures lies not only in the economic plane, but also in the social and humanitarian sector. “It is important not only to improve reliability, operational and consumer properties of products, but also to increase labor productivity, reduce costs, improve the management system and corporate culture. Development of human and creative potential, effective motivation of employees, creation of a favorable social and psychological climate in labor collectives - these equally important factors should also be paid close attention to in 2024,” Aleksandr Rogozhnik emphasized.

In his words, the active position of every person, every worker is important in the implementation of the Year of Quality initiative. “Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko in one of his Addresses to the Belarusian people and the National Assembly noted that in our state we are one big family, where the strength and prosperity of all depend on the labor of each citizen, his/her knowledge and responsibility. Belarusians are hard-working people, and their unity is a great advantage. Everyone should show their responsibility for the prosperity of their native land in concrete deeds. 2024, the Year of Quality, sets us all up for this task,” the industry minister said.
